O'Doherty, Patterson Suspended for Fracas Monday, July 15th , 2052 If there wasn't a history between Callahan O'Doherty of Sapporo and Steve Patterson of Galveston, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," O'Doherty said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year, O'Doherty is hitting .310 with 5 home runs and 59 RBIs in 67 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .403 with 34 walks and 44 runs scored. |
