Hits Galore: Carr Drills 5 Hits Saturday, July 6th , 2052 After a 5-hit effort to lead Lincolnville's 11-4 victory over the Da Nang Dolphins, second baseman Bill Carr told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the CBD Single A+-level is really something special." The 22-year-old player earned his accolades at Da Nang Field with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Dolphins. "His swing is getting there," said Abes skipper Ernesto Ortega, who spoke glowingly of Carr after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Bill did that to perfection." Bill Carr singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a sac fly in the 9th.
