Great Lakes-Traverse City Brawl, Wheeler and Hernandez Suspended Tuesday, September 7th , 2049 Wesley Wheeler of the Great Lakes Loons and Pedro Hernandez of the Traverse City Cherries will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 3 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Loons-Cherries game at Cherries Ballpark. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Wheeler and Hernandez will begin serving them soon. This year, Wheeler has hit at a .368 clip with 7 hits, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year, Hernandez has earned 1 save, worked 56 innings, fanned 35 hitters and recorded a 2.89 ERA. He has also put up a 3-0 won-lost mark. |
