Saucier Too Tough, Blanks Albuquerque
Sunday, September 10th , 2051
It was not a good day at the plate for the Albuquerque Roadrunners. They came up empty when it mattered against Qubec City Poutine right-hander Matt Saucier, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Roadrunners scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Albuquerque manager Conor Stroh said later.
Saucier chalked up 3 strikeouts and no walks in the 4-0 Poutine win.
To date this year, Saucier has compiled a 15-5 mark with a 2.60 ERA in 28 starts.
