Houston Captures Wild Card Tuesday, September 5th , 2051 The Houston Orange Kings may not go on to win a Round 3, but the team celebrated like they had won a championship tonight after securing a wild card spot. "We were definitely feeling the pressure. To go so late into the season and not know whether you're going to make the playoffs or not, it's intense. That's why you're seeing such an excited reaction," said starting pitcher Freddy Mendoza. "All our guys I think are just relieved that we made it after all that." It did indeed take a tough battle and with their record at 77-61, the Orange Kings will now look to bring the 3rd Round 3 championship to Houston. |
