Great August Gets Masten CAP Best Hitter Award Friday, September 1st , 2051 Earl Masten made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the CBD Single A+ this past month. The Schenectady Grasshoppers first baseman shined through the month of August and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 23-year-old hit .383 with 7 home runs, 24 RBIs and 26 runs scored. This season, Masten has posted a batting average of .344 with 155 hits in 451 at-bats, 22 home runs and 84 RBIs. He has also scored 82 runs, walked 72 times and compiled a .431 OBP. |
