Acadia Right Fielder Hurt
Sunday, August 27th , 2051
The doctors have spoken and Potifar Hoffarth of the Acadia Peregrines didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old right fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hoffarth sustained his season-ending injury during the Charleston Chews game yesterday at Charleston Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Acadia medical staff reported Hoffarth had a concussion and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.
So far this season, Hoffarth is batting .248 with 10 home runs.
