Halada Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, June 21st , 2052 Schenectady second baseman Matt Halada keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Ballpark of Schenectady. The Grasshoppers earned the 7-3 victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Halada said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Matt Halada singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year in 57 games, Halada is hitting .345 with 9 home runs, 30 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
