Hit Streak for Blanks Reaches 20 Sunday, June 16th , 2052 Mules third baseman Travis Blanks has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 3-for-5 in today's game against the Charleston Chews. Moscow won the ballgame, 18-13. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Travis Blanks hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Eric Scott in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Blanks is hitting .482 so far this season with 25 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 40 hits including 8 home runs, 6 walks and .516 OBP. |
