Eduardo Luque Blanks Traverse City, 8-0 Thursday, August 11th , 2050 The Traverse City Cherries manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Acadia Peregrines. The Cherries were overpowered by Acadia starter Eduardo Luque, who hurled his club to victory, 8-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Matt Bronson said. Over 9 innings, Luque blanked Traverse City on 4 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Luque said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
