Killarney-Traverse City Brawl, Corona and Blackmon Suspended Sunday, August 7th , 2050 If there wasn't a history between Ruben Corona of Killarney and John Blackmon of Traverse City, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Corona said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." On the season, Corona is batting .228 with 7 home runs and 30 RBIs. He has played in 91 games. Currently Blackmon has a record of 3-11 with 41 strikeouts and 41 walks in 79.2 innings and a 5.99 ERA. |
