Week's Premier Player: Charleston's Perez Monday, August 16th , 2049 Charleston fans have something to crow about today as Charleston shortstop Bobby Perez nabbed the CBD Single A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Perez. He posted a .556 average (10-for-18) this past week with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. In his 2049 season totals, Perez has 6 home runs, .338 BA, .411 OBP, 22 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
