Salinas Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, August 4th , 2049 The Killarney Lakes fell to the Lincolnville Abes in Killarney Ballpark, even as 21-year-old center fielder Danny Salinas upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Salinas finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Lakes from dropping the 5-1 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Salinas. Danny Salinas struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Salinas is batting .284 with 8 home runs and 24 RBIs. |
