Luffman Goes 6-for-6 Saturday, July 31st , 2049 Bob Luffman exploded for a barrage of base hits at Cherries Ballpark. The Moscow left fielder had a field day in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Traverse City Cherries, finishing 6-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Luffman must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Bob Luffman singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
