CA Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 19th , 2049 When it came to hitting the baseball, Dave Armstrong was in a class by himself in the CBD Single A this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding catcher for Charleston tagged opposing pitchers for a .625 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 16 at-bats, 2 homers, 3 runs scored and 10 RBIs. This season, Armstrong is swinging the bat at a .228 rate with 54 hits in 237 at-bats. To date he has hit 10 home runs, scored 23 runs and driven in 35. |
