Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension Tuesday, July 13th , 2049 Albuquerque's Nelson Sancho made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Supernovas yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Sancho violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 3-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Sancho told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." So far this season, Sancho has put up a .287 batting average with 46 hits, 1 home run and 14 RBIs. |
