Schenectady Wins Round 1 Saturday, September 14th , 2047 The Schenectady Grasshoppers are off to the Round 2. By a final score of 2-1 at Ballpark of Schenectady, Schenectady ended the Round 1 and knocked out the Monterrey Jacks by a series score of 4-2. "Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said John Petruccelli, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the CBD Single A playoffs." For the series, Petruccelli hit .450 with a .560 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Schenectady Grasshoppers will play against the Killarney Lakes in the next round. Killarney won their series against the Houston Orange Kings 4 games to 0.
