Albany Advances to Round 2 Saturday, September 14th , 2047 After eliminating the Concord Blue Devils 3-1 in the Round 1 at Polecats Ballpark, the victorious Albany Polecats will now move on to the next round: the Round 2. Albany beat Concord 4-2 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Polecats left fielder Kevin Saxton, who knocked in 6 runs, hit .478 and scored 3 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Saxton said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here." The Albany Polecats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Baxter Dingos - Da Nang Dolphins series. Da Nang leads the series 3 games to 2.
