Neubauer Must Sit Out 3 Games
Saturday, July 1st , 2051
The Qubec City Poutine were officially notified that second baseman David Neubauer had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Orange Kings at Poutine Ballpark. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Neubauer threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout.
That action got him ejected and a 3-game suspension.
"I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess."
This year, Neubauer has collected a .292 batting average to date with 81 hits in 277 at-bats, 32 RBIs, 9 home runs and scored 32 times. He has played in 72 games.
