5 Hits for Loons Ramos Wednesday, September 4th , 2047 There was no storybook ending. Efrain Ramos of the Great Lakes Loons socked it to the visiting Killarney Lakes with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Loons fell, 9-6, at Galaxy Ballpark. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Ramos complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 7 at-bats. Great Lakes manager Bobby Wilcher sympathized with his center fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Efrain played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Efrain Ramos singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jacob Cooper in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
