Washington Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Wednesday, June 21st , 2051 Jalen Washington of the Houston Orange Kings tagged 1 hit in today's 11-3 loss to the Sarasota Supernovas at Orange Kings Ballpark to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Jalen Washington struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th and was hit by a pitch in the 6th. This season in 62 games, Washington is batting .352 with 14 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |
