Cherries Buried - Out of Playoffs Wednesday, August 19th , 2048 It has been a woeful season for the Traverse City Cherries and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Jose Ortiz. "And nothing broke our way this year." Traverse City last appeared in the postseason in 2036. This is their 12th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 25 times in their 31-year history. |
