Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Sunday, August 9th , 2048
If there wasn't a history between Jose Gonzalez of Tulsa and Edgar Mooris of Lincolnville, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Gonzalez said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Batting .267 to date, Gonzalez has 12 home runs and 52 RBIs.
This season, Mooris has rung up 6 wins and 9 losses in 23 games. He has an ERA of 4.30 and has fanned 87 batters in 121.1 innings.
