Hit Streak for Johnson Reaches 20
Wednesday, June 14th , 2051
John Johnson continued his streak at Poutine Ballpark, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Flagstaff center fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Skyhawks were not as fortunate, losing, 5-1, to the Qubec City Poutine.
"Johnson was hitting everything we threw at him," said Qubec City manager Willie Gutierrez. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." John Johnson singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
This year, Johnson is batting .359 with 33 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 13 times and has batted in 15 runs.
