League Punishes Pair for Fighting Wednesday, August 28th , 2047 If there wasn't a history between Jonathan Rodriguez of Arlington and Lião Trejo of Moscow, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Rodriguez said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season, Rodriguez is batting .196 with 75 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 37 times and has 29 RBI. This year, Trejo has gone 0-6 with an ERA of 5.34 and has 17 strikeouts in 30.1 innings. |
