Longberry Slams 3 Homers for Skyhawks Thursday, June 1st , 2051 It was a good day for the Flagstaff Skyhawks and an exceptional one for Ken Longberry. The 26-year-old center fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Skyhawks beat the Charleston Chews, 10-4, at Skyhawks Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Longberry said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Ken Longberry doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jonathan Wilcox in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Tomba in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Tim Carroll in the 8th. |
