Orlando Jimenez Injured, Out for Year Sunday, August 11th , 2047 When Orlando Jimenez was hurt against the Lincolnville Abes, the Great Lakes Loons were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 22-year-old reliever suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Jimenez would miss 5 months of the season. So far this season, Jimenez is 0-and-2 with no saves and a 4.38 ERA. He has given up 22 hits in 24.2 innings with 23 strikeouts. |
