Cerros Suspended, Out 3 Games Tuesday, May 25th , 2049 Houston's Alberto Cerros made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Dingos yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Cerros violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 3-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Cerros told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." In the current season, Cerros has put up a .186 batting average with 8 hits, no home runs, 2 runs batted in and scored 6 runs. |
