Schwichtenberg Shackles Lincolnville Sunday, August 4th , 2047 John Schwichtenberg of the Killarney Lakes was on fire against the Lincolnville Abes at Lincoln Field. He shut them out, 11-0, on 2 hits, collecting 8 strikeouts and allowing no walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Schwichtenberg said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." Schwichtenberg has made 23 starts, tossed 166 innings, struck out 118 batters and walked 38. His record is 12-8 with a 1.95 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .193 batting average.
