Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, May 24th , 2053 Yesterday at Orange Kings Ballpark Kyle Nadeau and Ben Crim got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Houston Orange Kings and Lincolnville Abes. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Nadeau will have to sit out 3 while Crim would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. At the moment, Nadeau is hitting .221 with 2 home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 36 games and scored 9 times. On the season, Crim has 1 win and no losses and a 5.54 ERA. |
