Williamson Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Schenectady Thursday, May 13th , 2049 The Schenectady Grasshoppers were almost helpless in their 8-0 loss to the Houston Orange Kings and hurler Ryan Williamson. Williamson kept the Grasshoppers confused all game, spinning a 7-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Williamson," Schenectady manager Nate Hollerman said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 23-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Williamson said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." In no relief appearances this season, Williamson has no saves. He has 4 wins and 2 losses, 2.55 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 49.1 innings.
