Cole Sharp in 6-0 Shutout Monday, September 16th , 2041 The bats were ice cold today for the Tulsa Drillers at Da Nang Field. Da Nang Dolphins starter Alex Cole kept the Drillers cold all day, shutting them out in a 6-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 24-year-old hurler allowed 8 hits while striking out 11 and walking 0. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Cole admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." To date this season Cole sports a 11-8 mark with a 2.90 ERA in 26 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .227 batting average and has 191 strikeouts in 180 innings. View Boxscore |
