Mendoza Whips Sarasota, 7-0 Tuesday, May 2nd , 2051 The Sarasota Supernovas manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Houston Orange Kings. The Supernovas were overpowered by Houston starter Freddy Mendoza, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Elijah Paysinger said. Over 9 innings, Mendoza blanked Sarasota on 8 hits with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Mendoza said.
