Big Day with Bat: Criswell 5-for-6 Monday, April 28th , 2053 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Dan Criswell -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Peregrines Ballpark and paced the 10-2 Volcanoes win over the Acadia Peregrines. After his dynamite batting performance, the Salem-Keizer right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Dan Criswell singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Marcus Ash in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This season, Criswell is batting .393 with 11 RBIs, 11 runs scored and 4 home runs. View Boxscore |
