Eason CA's Best of the Week Monday, August 26th , 2041 Brownsville's Steven Eason would not be denied the CBD Single A Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 12 hits in 27 at-bats and a .444 average, made him the clear favorite to win the honor. "You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Eason, "When I'm up, I try to focus and block everything else out of my mind and have a good at-bat. I'm up there to get a hit or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. I hope I can win this award every week." He also tallied 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and scored 7 runs. Eason is batting .280 this season in 81 games with 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 91 hits in 325 at-bats. |
