Injury Sidelines John Whyte for Season

The season is ending on a bad note for John Whyte, reliever for the Monterrey Jacks. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Whyte was hurt against the Schenectady Grasshoppers while throwing a pitch. He suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 8 months.
To this point in the season, Whyte has rung up no saves in 5 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 5.62 ERA, no wins and no losses and 4 strikeouts in 8 innings.
