Charno Raps Concord for 5 Hits
Tuesday, April 13th , 2049
Gauthier Charno was sizzling at the plate. The Charleston right fielder blistered the Concord Blue Devils for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 9-8.
"Charno was too tough to get out today," Blue Devils skipper C.J. Benevides said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
Gauthier Charno singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Willie Archuleta in the 8th.
So far this year, Charno is batting .500 with 1 home run and 4 RBIs.
