Jennings Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, April 12th , 2049 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Scott Jennings, it came around today. The 21-year-old third baseman scattered hits all over Da Nang Field to pace the 11-10 Da Nang Dolphins victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Salem-Keizer skipper Alex Jensen told reporters in the press room that "Jennings deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Jennings hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Scott Jennings hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Logan Kelly in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Suarez in the 7th.
