Cole Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Loons Thursday, June 4th , 2048 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Brown Cows-Loons game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Brownsville center fielder Jim Cole thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Brownsville to a win, 6-3, over Great Lakes. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Cole said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Cole was 3-for-5 on the day with 6 runs batted in. Jim Cole flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Quentin Robertson in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Rios in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Edgar Ogaz in the 7th. |
