Cano Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, April 27th , 2050 Win or lose, Jesus Cano just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Albuquerque Roadrunners third baseman went 1-for-2, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 2-1, by the Qubec City Poutine at Poutine Ballpark. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Jesus Cano walked in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season, Cano is batting .371 with 3 home runs. |
