Mudge Holds Brownsville Scoreless
Friday, May 15th , 2048
Sean Mudge was in a mood to talk following the Lincolnville Abes contest against the Brownsville Brown Cows, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Brown Cows, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Mudge said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Brownsville on a 5-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 9 strikeouts.
Mudge has a 2-1 season record so far. In 7 starts, he has fanned 55 batters in 51.1 innings with a 2.10 ERA.
