Beckstead Gets 5 Hits Friday, April 10th , 2048 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Peter Beckstead, it came around today. The 25-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Charleston Ballpark to pace the 14-10 Da Nang Dolphins victory over the Charleston Chews. Charleston skipper Joe Mulholland told reporters in the press room that "Beckstead deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Beckstead hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Peter Beckstead singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Luis Ortiz in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eduardo Francia in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
