Big Day with Bat: Wichert 5-for-5 Tuesday, May 1st , 2046 The Da Nang Dolphins stopped the Moscow Mules by a score of 7-5 at Da Nang Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Lane Wichert. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Wichert said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Wichert did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Mules. "Not much that I can say," offered Moscow manager Nate Franklin. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
