Grasshoppers Heading to Round 2 Friday, September 13th , 2052 The Schenectady Grasshoppers are on to the Round 2, having knocked out the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 4-2. The final blow came tonight at Ballpark of Schenectady, where Schenectady sealed the Round 1 with a 4-0 triumph. Larry Vachon was instrumental in the series win and was given MVP honors. Vachon hit .318 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Schenectady Grasshoppers will play against the Killarney Lakes in the next round. Killarney won their series against the Albuquerque Roadrunners 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
