Year Ends for Miguel Rodriguez in Charleston Friday, August 30th , 2052 The season is finished for Miguel Rodriguez of the Charleston Chews. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Chews starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Schenectady Grasshoppers. Team doctors said it would take at least 11-12 months to heal. On the season, Rodriguez has compiled a 3-12 mark with a 4.12 ERA in 28 starts. In pitching 150.2 innings he has 94 strikeouts and 52 walks while limiting the opposition to a .291 batting average. |
