The Baxter Dingos catcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Traverse City Cherries and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Cox was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured medial collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9 months. For the season, Cox is currently batting .284 with 7 home runs and 20 RBIs. In 39 games he has reached base at a .365 rate and scored 17 runs to date. |
