Hits Galore: Giordani Drills 5 Hits Wednesday, July 10th , 2052 Hartford third baseman Ryan Giordani could do no wrong in his team's 15-4 win over the Skeeters, as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Skeeters skipper Joe Mulholland said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Giordani agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Ryan Giordani hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Paul Stone in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Chris Aronowitz in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit a two-run double in the 7th. In 82 games Giordani is hitting .316 this season with 106 hits, 18 home runs, 63 RBIs, 30 walks, .384 OBP and has scored 56 runs. View Boxscore |
