Seattle's Corpening Winner, CAA Best Hitter in August Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 For a rookie just breaking in, Rich Corpening certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the CAA Batter of the Month award for August. The 26-year-old third baseman for the Seattle Airhogs hit .370 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 17 runs scored. This season, Corpening is batting .299 with 92 hits, 16 home runs, 60 RBIs, 44 walks, .388 OBP and has scored 42 runs. He has played in 84 games. |
