Sabercats Dozier Booms 3 HRs Friday, September 1st , 2051 Justin Dozier showed off his power as he launched three balls into the seats against the Santa Clara Vanguard and sparked the Sabercats to a win, 9-6. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Amarillo Grounds." For the day, Dozier collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," San Jose skipper Mike De Bono said. "Justin really put on a show." Justin Dozier hit a solo-shot off Jerry Verheyen in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jerry Verheyen in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Chris Inman in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year, Dozier is batting .309 with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |
