Friday, September 1st , 2051
Glendale right fielder Josh Childree had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Blubs Bay Flappy Bois at Flappy Bois Park as the Skeeters picked up a win, 14-1.
"He was patient up there," Glendale skipper Joe Mulholland told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Childree has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Josh Childree singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
Childree is batting at a .382 pace this season, picking up 55 hits in 144 at-bats with 4 home runs, 25 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
